Inner Guidance

We all have a voice inside offering us thousands of thoughts a day. Most of these thoughts are not ones we consciously choose. These thoughts create a certain feeling. When we open ourselves up to our emotions as inner guidance we are able to look at our emotions as useful information. They show us where our thoughts are not matching up with the greater part of who we are. They let us know when we are out of sync with our authentic selves.

Guidance….what an empowering way to view our emotions. We leave behind shame and suffering and we open ourselves up to inner guidance.

Once convinced of the validity of emotions as guidance I welcomed the information with curiosity and appreciation for showing me where I was straying from the greater part of who I am, where my thoughts were not honoring my true desires. 

When this idea of emotions as guidance takes hold - 

  • Question the validity of the thought that caused the feeling.

  • Let go of judgment about having that thought.

  • Open up to the useful information.

  • Step into thoughts that align with your true and honest desires.

  • Lastly, appreciate the guidance for the clarity it provided.
